To improve your traffic you need to improve your backlinks, not just in quantity but in quality. You should have more backlinks coming from related sites. Or if you can, try to get backlinks from authority sites and you will get the page rank you want. But I personally do not suggest pursuing PR since most sites even though they have no PR they still have good traffic and SERP positions.

you have to learn the complete picture regarding the page rank.

First thing is that page rank is not related with the search ranking.second it will depend on various factors .but in the boarder picture i can say that it will depend on two major pictures:

1. your design and coding style - you should follow google guidelines and your code should be easily understandable by the crawler. try to avoid using various java script, iframes and other typical things.


2. try to get online reputation: in other words your should have some quality back link for your website.

I don't think PR is so much valuable. I always concern to increase backlink and traffic for the website.
