i agree.. put in some colors.. but do not over do it.. i've notice that your blog is a blogger.com blog.. i suggest you get your own domain name to be used in the long run.. google tends to delete blogger.com blogs without any warning..

I would scrap the ads and add more color, it just seems kinda plain and not very inviting.
