MAMP or XAMPP?
Which web server should use for php MAMP or XAMPP?

XAMPP and MAMP are both quite similar. Neither touch your default OS X Apache/PHP! You can just try them both out and remove them after wards by just deleting their folders. In the end they do exactly the same.
XAMPP gets updated more regularly and is generally more up to date. Also XAMPP has more extensions built-in.
MAMP looks a little more mac-like and has a Dashboard Widget.

I prefer AMPPS for Mac, its new for Mac, but I can say its a very good software. It has a very friendly GUI and also it provides 230+ scripts to install and update and moreover its free.

I have used both and according to my views MAMP works well because it allows you to tweak the modules the way you wanted to whereas with XAMPp it's quite hard to deal with this thing.

XAMPP is the best web server i was using so far creating database and its the best of all.....

WAMP is easier to setup and for beginners but XAMP has more options as far as I know.

I have always like WAMP over the others. It just seems easier to learn.
