What type of prices do ppc ads normally run. I realize that it'snot in stone, just looking for a range. Thanks

well that depends on what keywords you target. some keywords could cost you $5+ per click. Its better to do a math of how much you can earn and how much you spend.

more profitable the keyword is, higher the bid cost will be. adwords and other PPC programs know very well how profitable a certain keyword is and set the bid cost accordingly. some KW will cost you 10 cents and some will cost you $10+

the range is huge and it all depends on which specific keywords you choose. The greater the competition, the higher the price.

a highly competitive keyword (high traffic) on overture and google adwords cost around $5 bucks per click, meaning if your conversion rate is 2% you need to bring at least 50 visitors to your site which may cost around $250 bucks.
so instead of targeting top ranking keywords, you can build a group of keyword listings that doesn't cost that much, ranging around $0.65 per click, since it's a group of keyword you will have almost the same traffic high rank keyword does. but the payment is fragmented of course.

its all depends on your particular campaign..
some of the factors are as follows:
1. geographical location(it is run on a particular location or across the globe)
2. keywords (competitive keywords are costly )
3. quality score (depends on text copy, landing page etc)
4. your mode of running (standard or accelerate )
and so on ...again buddy costing a campaign is a complete job itself..
