Thread: Can Bing overtake Google?

I was recently registering on a forum about Bing, since I am really curious about what people think about this search engine. Yahoo was already overtaken by Bing if the news are right. In my opinion, however, Bing will never take over Google. This is such a challenge and it would need big minded people to invent a strategy for this purpose. Google has Adsense and Adwords to offer as a big advantage. Therefore in my opinion Bing can’t overtake, since it can’t offer something that is better. Google is just well established and has creative things to offer. What is your opinion?

your talking about the impossible thing here, I believe it would possible after 30years? but still a big question mark.

Microsoft has started a search engine named "Bing", but don't think that it will take place of Google. Trying for 1000 years will be a very short enough time for microsoft to take the place of Google, I believe.

Google is a giant among search engines. Bing is ranking next to Google, but Bing cannot replace Google. There was a talk few days back that Bing imitates Google's results to improve their quality of search results.

Yes it is practically possible. Bing's appearance and speed is better than Google.
If you go by Statcounter, Bing's share is increasing constantly.
At the year end Bing is expected to conquer 10-15% search share worldwide. While Google's share will drop below 80%.
Reasons:
Google is neglecting the revolutionary PR and they are also not keen to update it regularly!

Google has come a long way, it has been around for quite a long time now. Bing just started and i don't even see the possibility of bing taking over Google.

Well, who knows? Apparently, Bing maybe discovering a better way to increase their popularity. We never really know. But as of now, it is Google that we considered as the best among any other search engines. Lets just allow Google to enjoy his popularity and power

Google is top ranking search engine... so it is so tough for bing to overtake Google even quit impossible.

Well it sounds totally unbelievable but not impossible ta all. Once yahoo was the first ranking search engine and Google beat it. So why not Bing?

There is no way Bing will overtake Google predominately for the reason of the competitive ad placement they have and strategy for major businesses alike. Bing is trying to do their best, but the Google Engineers are way, way ahead of Bing's game.

Bing and Yahoo is now sharing their Search Results.. I guess they really wanted to knock down google.. but for sure they'll going to eat a lot of dust just to catch up with google.
