Hai all,

java script is simply use for validation.

Other than validation JavaScript has many more applications, like dynamic menu design, AJAX applications, setting cookie etc. The BBCode interface by which I write this comment is also run by JS.

JavaScript is a compact, object-based scripting language for Web pages. JavaScript code embedded into your HTML pages can enhance them with many interesting elements, from swapping images when you move a cursor over them, to multi-level drop-down menus.

You can create really sophisticated and almost application-like pages with the help of JavaScript. You don't need any special software other than a text editor and a Web browser, and you don't need access to a Web server. You can create and test all your JavaScript code right on your own computer.

Javascript has FAR more to do than "simply validation". JavaScript can be used to make modifications for websites/forums, ajax requests, setting/calling for cookies and can even be used to called PHP for sites that don't support it by calling it from a different host etc.

JavaScript has MANY uses.

Basically javascript is used for validation.. and some used popup purpose... javascript is sub programming language....
