Thread: How i remove my webpage index.html to home page url?

Dear Friends i have a problem regargding my website /index.html and i want to chenge it into mai url like www.ukfinanceworld.co.uk
how can i solve it..please help me..

make this change from your cpanel, and remove from your pages link "index.html"

I'm not sure what you mean. index.html in your root directory will always be the default option unless you have specified otherwise. Just edit that page and include a redirect to wherever you need it.

hi, there is no need to remove this this but you can use 301 redirection.there are two way to redirect this first you can use <link rel="canonical" href="domin name" />
another way to redirect this by using .htaccess file. You should be very careful while using .htaccess file.

Instead of Using this Tag its Better To Use .htaccess file
