I do not think it makes a company look cheap. I don't know why you think that, but yes for some reason I would not make use of it much.

No adsense does not make a website look cheap. You can place the ads where you want, which means you can design a nicer looking background for them to sit on and make them fit into your site more. Placement is what helps them look better and more natural.

yes I'm not convince that the sites have an adsense installed look cheap....

I think that sites with adsense have some more value, than others sites, which are using other advertisement services (relevance is king of adsense), and for me there is no "cheap story" here

But if you look around then you will see lot of sites that highly ranked in search engines and could earn lot of money through adsense but you can't find any advertisements on these sites.
