There are various tools which allow you editing videos. BTW which format of the video are you trying to edit?

I am using these following 5 steps to make a Basic Home
step 1 – first of all Film Your Masterpiece, and Holding a Camcorder and Filming
Step 2 – Then Transfer your video to a Computer - Import Video
Step 3 – Now Edit the Video - Basic video Editing - Software - Connect Editing to TV
Step 4 - Edit the Audio - See Examples with Free Audio Software
Step 5 – At last Make a DVD or convert the Movie for others to see - Video Formats
You must try it.
