Crawling,building an index, calculating relevancy and ranking and serving results.

Yes these are the functions of search engines,and adding one more point to it.Storage is also a main function,the content are stored in a database of the search engines.

Hi guys
The main function of search engine is
Crawling-it have ability to search a wide range of websites
Indexing-After Crawled,It allowed you to search a particular query
Storage-Store the content of the site within the database of the search engine
Results-User typed for a search term, after that crawler runs through the index and matches what are typed by user with other keywords.
