Is anyone using Google Alert?

You can set it up so you are notified via email as new back links to your site are created.

It's not the quickest when reporting back links, but works.

I use Google Alerts to find out new jobs.

yes it is the best tool given by the google.

i am also using Google Alerts for study SEO.

Google alerts is the most effective tool to find out useful material which is realted to our desired keywords, i am using google alerts to find forums and blog for my keywords. As the responsibility of SEO Specialist, i have found many and high PR back links which is easily available in google alerts.

Yeah, I do the same. Use it to find related blogs and forums for specific keywords I am working with. Then I check the PR of the site and whether or not the links are DoFollow. If everything passes, then I leave a thoughtful post with a backlink to my target site.

Interestingly my software does this for me

I use google alerts to check on me as to who is posting about me or my product !
