Absolutely not a good idea. Unless you are selling something, AdWords could be very pricey. Instead you could hire somebody do blog comments, article marketing etc.

Promoting online resource through Google Adwords is not a good idea for generating more visitors because their are many free resources available for it. Create good content for the website and and earn more through Adsense.

Adwords will be a little too expensive for you. It is better to use other cheap but effective ways of advertising first and then go to Adwords.

Not a good idea. You are paying google(adwords) to earn from google(adsense).
Not all visitors comes from adwords would click on adwords ads by google on your website and you won't earn much to cover adwords costs.
You can try to give something free/discounts to visitors to attract them.

It is not wise to use adwords on just a blog, why because you are not actually gaining enough money from it, adwords are usually used by affiliate marketers who wants to increase sales, adsense won't be enough to consolidate with your adwords, sooner or later you might be experiencing a loss in money..
