Thread: Run cold and hot water to keep pipes from freezing

Hot water pipes can freeze just as easy as cold water pipes. It really depends on how cold it is going to get, where the pipes are located, etc.

To stop pipes from freezing, turn off the main water valve, then drain as much hot and cold water from the taps as you can, and leave the taps open. In the morning, close all the taps and turn ater back on again.

Interesting, I always thought the best way to keep pipes from freezing was to leave the heating on a low setting but always on during the winter.

The best way is to just leave the water running just a little bit ( i meen like drops) and it will never happen to you.

It can be installed occupying very little space and suits every pocket as there are many varieties of water coolers.
