Will we ever travel beyond our solar system?
I have often wondered whether mankind will travel outside of our solar system. I think that this may be possible, but certainly not in my lifetime.

Well, we are at brink of space exploration, one un-maned probe already left the solar system.

I guess so. Given the opportunity I'd like that. With our current technology I guess that would be possible.

my intuition says no because there is no end of this universe and we can't reach the end point because it doesn't exist.

I believe that as we are able to locate other solar systems in the space using the advanced technologies, definitely it would be possible in future to reach beyond our solar system. The emerging technologies are so futuristic that nothing will be impossible for a human in future.

Well there are many possibilities but God created some boundaries that a man can never cross.

cant say weather it can be done, but in your dreams you can surely travel. And i hope every one must have traveled at least once in their life time in their child hood dreams.
Nothing is IM-Possible. some time later it may happen.
the best example for it is telephone/ mobile which we use now.

The question was the solar system. . . It's impossible to reach the outer limits to the universe because it's always expanding and we would never be able to get there before it expanded past the point where we thought it was.
As to the solar system, I say most definitely yes. First, they would have to develop a ship with a cold fusion reactor (Cold fusion is closer than we think. It used to be "impossible" and now it's feasible one day), a way to cultivate food using some u.v. lighting, a way to recycle and create water, and live for generations on board or else have a way to bend space/time like in warp speed. Or just find a way to use a worm hole. It's not anywhere close but one day. The water and the warp speed are the iffy points, but the growing food and living on board and cold fusion could be achieved.
