Thread: Man gets jail and cane for sniffing women's armpits

A Singapore man with a penchant for sniffing women's armpits was sentenced to 14 years in jail and 18 strokes of the cane for molesting his victims.

The 36-year-old, who was mentally unstable, had previous convictions for drug and sex-related offenses.


He molested 23 women over the course of 15 months, smelling their armpits and touching them in lifts, staircase landings and their homes, the paper said. He was caught after a housewife reported him to the police.

The court meted out the jail term, normally reserved for hardcore criminals, saying the man was likely to commit crimes again.

Caning on the buttocks is an additional punishment for male criminals in Singapore for offenses ranging from vandalism to illegal possession of drugs and rape.

Why was he sent to prison and not some mental hospital?

hahha Did they at least shave their armpits lol? I think that is horrendous. There are drug dealers and rapists that get put in for less years.

That was little too much punishment for the crime. May be the judge was a victim. lol

That's how it is in some countries. Saudi Arabia is probably worst place for "criminals".

They probably would have half-bury him then stone.

Such human beings are disgrace to life. I remember of a case in Saudi Arabia. A woman was raped by some men and when she went for justice, she was accused for being with a man alone when she was raped. I think the man was her friend. I don't remember what happened to her!

Yeah I saw it in the news. Those people probably think they still in stone ages.

Though this is a couple months old is there any reference to this story? Was this a real case that happened? Find it hard to believe that people can do these kinds of things.

wow ! very shoking picture of the Iranian woman! you can see the suffering on her face ... very sad that in this century still threat people like animals, I know it's a culture issue but still very sad that life sometimes worth so little :S
