Alexa and Dmoz, Biggest Joke
I think both Alexa and DMoz are showing pretty much misleading information to people.
Alexa ranks without spensing much words is the most stupid ranking system ever.
Unless you are an editor at DMoz/you can bribe a DMoz editor/your site is awefully good you can forget about getting listed at DMoz (in 60% cases). So many complaints against these guys. Worst is Google uses their data!
I personally do think both Alexa and DMoz is biggest joke online and should be declared dead.Webmaster Forum <--to the honor of webcosmoforums.com for having us this great place to hang out.

They have some uses, although there are sites with better information but not as famous as these are. So I guess you might have a good point out there.

DMOZ is definitely a collosal giant that has become a huge drain...
Nevertheless a link in DMOZ is still valued.
Google recently removed their recommendation to "submit to link directories" but they said they are not saying that those links are de-valued as of now, but just not something they will recommend anymore.
Oh and out of the millions of directories on the web, DMOZ is definitely still one of the most "authority" like directories...

I would still use Alexa to check for traffic, but I agree that DMOZ is wack now since no one gets listed. Its awesome to be listed by them but I wouldnt work too hard on it.

They are bot stupid. Alexa considers page views and gives useless ranking.
DMOZ staff is corrupted and it takes ages to get approved.

well that's a good rank for webcosmo but still these numbers don't really tell much about a forum.
