Hello,
We are all living in the world of social media and online marketing. RSS is something that we might have come across so often now. But we still might not know the exact answer to it. It was the same case with me. Well then I googled and got my answer. Here is it for you as well:-
Most people are interested in many websites whose content changes on an unpredictable schedule. Examples of such websites are news sites, community and religious organization information pages, product information pages, medical websites, and weblogs. Repeatedly checking each website to see if there is any new content can be very tedious.
RSS is a technology that is being used by millions of web users around the world to keep track of their favorite websites.
The acronym RSS stands for many versions of the same thing.Really Simple Syndication
Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
RDF Site Summary (RSS 0.9 and 1.0)
Real-time Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)

Hello Friends,
RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.
Thanks
