Hi, think you would be safer to open a paypal account, much more secure.

Hello Friends,
Public computers and networks are less secure so there's a greater chance that your credit card information can be stolen when you use it on a public computer. These computers could have a keylogger software that will capture all your keystrokes, including your login information and credit card number. Your credit card information can even be stolen when you use your personal laptop on a public wireless network.
Thanks

I'd think it's safer than using a debit card, though. I personally try to use paypal whenever I can and only use my credit card on reputable sites with clear security systems in place. Nothing's ever totally secure online, though, is it? You can also just as easily get your credit card information stolen offline when using it in restaurants, ATMs that have been tampered with or buying stuff over the phone. Life's just full of risk - we can't avoid it all the time, no matter how hard we try!

yes its totally safe. and your card information can be hacked at anytime whenever you are using the card or not. Right? so you have to take this risk.

Credit is the source to pay for your purchases now the privacy or security depends upon the online store who accepts your card. Still it a safe way to pay online

It all depends on which website you are using, be sure that the site has https:// at the start of the URL before submitting any sensitive information.
