Forum Marketing Is it good or bad for traffic generation???

What do you guys think about forum marketing, do you think its bad for traffic generation or its good for traffic.

The reason I ask this question is because I got into an argument with someone who said forum marketing is a waste of time, what do you guys think is it a waste of time?

Forum is best place for marketing with the help of creating relevant traffic at web pages and also supporting in search engine ranking with the help of increasing number of back link of website.

Forum marketing is a good way to promote your site but normally it doesn't gives you huge traffic. But you can make one way links and huge publicity through it.

If the forum is relevant to the service you have then yes, it is an important part of generating traffic. Also, if you're a reputable member of a community, you're going to have trust which in turn means more traffic and potential sales leads.

yes.. i do agree with that forum posting is very good way for the marketing.. because of this we can assign a url link in the forum .. that really hepls to us for generating more and more traffic.

if forum marketing is waste of time then a lot people daily will not join forums and there will be no such strict rule on forums. forum marketing is very very effective.

Forum is the best in knowledge sharing place. When you join the relevant forum and contribute to the forum, you will get quality traffic. It take times and efforts to build the traffic but the outcome is rewarding if you do it right. Some forums are nofollow link, so we might not get any backlinking from the forum.

Forum marketing is good as your website can get huge traffic. But you have to post the correct info in the right way.

You can't except miracles, dude! For sure, posting links to forums on every day base can gain you a good number of backlinks, but practice proved the quality of those links is very low (CTR as well)
