Directory Submissions
Despite what you might heard - Submitting to directories still works..you can even find sites like Web Directories List - 16,000 up-to-date free, paid, niche & regional directory listings. with more than 15.000 listed directories (that will keep you busy for a while LOL)But you need to check if they have some ip diversity - a free useful tool is this one here: A Directory list copy and paste your list of directories and you will see which of them are sharing the same IP address - let me tell you right nowyou WILL be surprised...I dont want to be accused of spamming so I am not recommending any submitter here but those submitters where you have to click each and every directory link with your mouse (and then the submitter fills in the details) are definetely a thing of the past...

With my experience, I could say that directories mostly help for backlinks [very few for traffic] & PR is the last thing that I would look for. So i dont believe in directory submissions.

I think if you will concentrate on ip diversity trying to check every directory you will use your time not effective.
While checking ip and submitting to 1 directory you can submit your website already to 2 directories.I Just Link It - Link Directory :: Mobile Games Link and Article Directory

Google removing link juice from directories isn't hard if the directories are using an off the shelve script, but for directories that have built their own script, then it's not so easy I guess.
So therefore some directories still work with link juice, but a majority probably don't.

Directories are great way to get noticed in search engine. But they are so expensive and the best way to get a good result is to submit it manually by yourself. I don't suggest you to pay someone to do that because you can do that using bunch of free software(don't use softeares - Please) but it will just get you banned for google for spamming. Do it one by one it takes time but eventually it will pay off.

well well well directories are better but if you have your own collection of great list of high pr and non-reciprocal link directories, but i have an sms messages portal, when i was optimizing that portal on "funny sms" most of the link directories are not indexing my site so i exit using link directories and prefer to do link exchange with at least pr3
