I agree, Alexa is a great tool.

I disagree. Alexa serves no real purpose, The traffic volume is way off and can be manipulated. Measuring traffic by a toolbar that hardly anyone uses has no value and it's not accurate.

I do not think that Alexa is a good resource of traffic. Ordinary users who are far from SEO and online marketing do not know this site at all. They use other popular search engines and do not care about traffic stats.

You can install the Alexa Toolbar. It increase the traffic to your site, but it was not hurt and you will be helping Alexa to track your site and helping the entire Internet Community by contributing to Alexa's Traffic Data. Getting traffic to your site is a traffic. and with a little hard work and some luck, you will be counting your visitors in the millions before too long.
