Hi
Thanks for the help but I have more questions.
I keep hearing link building is not a good reason to answer yahoo answers questions and the traffic is weak. The traffic may be weak but it may be targeted because you are answering a question is in you sites theme giving you more credibility with the person reading you answer which may mean they are more likely to click to your site and be converted in to money. Hoover I am still not sure enough if there is enough traffic to the questions I answer to get them to visit my site via a link,
Having said that. I want to know were to I go to set up a profile? How do I find questions to answer within the theme of my site? When linking do you put in html code or is there another way.

Yahoo answers is more moderated and regulated than it was before. Before so many people began answering peoples questions purely to advertise and/or promote their own site/s. Not just to actually answer peoples questions. You can still gain traffic from Yahoo answers but there are a few things in place now that don't make it as good as before. One thing is the url links you leave in an answer are not hyperlinked and as such as not clickable on the webpage so it's unlikely it'll be visited by the reader unless they really want to see the site and copy and paste it.
Try not to think of Yahoo Answers as your ultimate way to build traffic and backlinks to your site. Rather think of it as just a part of many things that you should be doing. Sure answer questions in a friendly and useful way and merge your site into the response but don't spend too much time on there. Just enough until you can see your answered questions come up in Google with your link indexed.
Hope this helps.

I can tell you from personal experience that if you expect to use Yahoo Answers to drive traffic to your commercial ventures, you should plan on getting a new Yahoo account on a regular basis. They pull the plug with no notice and no recourse if they find you advertising in any way and won't even answer emails when you try to find out what happened. Notice that all the spammers don't even bother to put an avatar on their account and have short activity reports.

Based on my own experience, what I can see is that most of the traffic going to yahoo answers are from search engines. If you type in a particular search term especially those related to "long-tailed keyword" you are most likely ended up with the yahoo answers ranked on top. Other than that, direct traffic also means a lot as frequent users of yahoo answers will likely return to search or answer questions.

Yahoo answers gets traffic mainly from Google search.
So the visitors who comes to your site from yahoo answers are highly targeted.
