Signup rate for forum is very important?
Lot of people do own forums. Forums on webmaster niche or anything.
I think for any forum improving the signup rate is very important.
Also posts per member, per thread are some important factors.

Every inch of factors are important. Bounce rate, returning visitors, keywords, posts, signups, members... everything!

While sign up rate is important, it might be misleading. The most important factor is the number of active members. A lot of people sign up and never return.
