Free Supplier Listing
Instead of paying membership fees you can do the hard work to find suppliers.

I personally found these two sites extremely helpful.
ThomasNet® - CNC Machining, Metal Stamping, Gaskets, Fasteners and other industrial products and services.
ThomasNet.com
Just type in the product keyword. They would list the suppliers and manufacturers for that keyword.

ODP - Open Directory Project
Dmoz.org
I never liked DMoz, until I found this. Yes you can find your product suppliers from DMoz. I checked several niches, they list many suppliers/manufacturers for almost all products.

This is how you find suppliers on DMoz:

• search the keyword
• check the links on top which starts with "Business:". There could be multiple for different products that matches the keyword.
• Click on the link "Manufacturers"

Just read your article. I actually enjoyed it. I never knew you could find your own product on DMoz. I used to hate DMoz too, but I liked what you have shared with us.
