Business networking has brought a revolution in business practices. Businessmen are aware of the fact, that in order to grow they need to break all the boundaries, which they have built around. Business networking does demands the time and effort of a businessman. A businessman has to take out time out of his busy schedule, in order to make strong relationships with clients and business partners. When a person starts off with a new business, his desire is to see his business at the top level, within no time. This is almost an impossible goal to achieve. In order to expand and develop a business one has to put in a lot of time and effort. Networking for business is one of the best tools available for business development. For a new and small business, networking plays a vital role in making the position of the business stable. Business networking is an essential part of business practices. A businessman engaged in business networking goes out and attends various events and function, where he gets chance to establish strong business lobbies and in this way he advocates his business. Business networking is very important to drive in more clientele towards your brand. Now the businesses have clearly understood the importance of customer loyalty and satisfaction. Clients acts like a backbone to any business, whether its a small or large business organization, both are surviving on their clients. Current and potential clients are the two main sources from where a businessman can take sales lead. According to the businessman, working across the globe, the importance of actual clients is more than potential buyers. Potential buyers have buying capacity and they are likely to be your customers in near future. All you need to do is to promote your brand and networking for business, is the best way for this purpose. Actual clients are more important due to one reason. They support your business in the lean economic times. Actual customers act like a support system to your organization. Therefore, you should build strong and sound relationships with your customers, in order to satisfy them. Business networking will play its role in making your customers happy.

For example if you have links on a site for a business that has an excellent reputation consumers will be more confident to buy from you. Therefore you need to be careful who you allow to place links on your own site. It is best if they have similar ethics and goals as your own business. You want them to be a type of business that will appeal to your same target market too. However, be careful that they are not directly going to be your competition because that can take money out of your own pocket and place it into theirs.

    It is often more convenient to network online than it is in person. This is because you can be exposed to volumes of people at any time of the day or the night. You also do not have to worry about being nervous or what you look like as you would if you were in person. There are plenty of places online where networking can take place too. They include forums and discussion groups. There are also plenty of social networking sites and chat rooms you can visit. There are plenty of them out there so you will not have any trouble finding the right contacts.

    Business networking is not about a closed shop where everyone gives each other work, it's much more powerful than that. It's fundamentally about the act referring business to people that you have grown to know, like and trust, and for them to do the same for you. Understanding how to give a quality referral is an art itself and something that I cannot cover today so for the time being let's just consider the benefits of business networking.
    It is not a well known fact but 70% of new business that your company gets is through word of mouth. Networking allows you to formally explain what your business is about and as fellow networking business people get to know you so you will naturally start to win new sales leads because people like to pass business to people that they know.
    Simply attending a networking event will raise your profile especially if you network on a regular basis. Remember my earlier point about advertising; recognition and repetition, attending a regular networking event achieves this
