    Attached is the database schema facebook uses. Some of us might might it useful if working on a social site.

    Are you share that's the schema?

    There seems a few obvious joins missing. Maybe that's how they've designed the db - but I would doubt it.

    Its a good reference point if we are to design a social site database

    I looked at the Facebook API thing, there are lot of differences with this one I must say.

    I can't even imagine the performance issues that Facebook developers have to put up with.

    That was really awesome. I always though that how the Facebook database is managed as their are millions of users that are daily updating their status on Facebook. And syncing everything is how possible for Facebook. Thanks for the schema, it was really brilliant. Please let m ekno win which technology Facebook is developed previously I have heard that it is in PHP , but it is chnaged now.. what was that?
