there's no 100% safe in this world, especially computers which connected to the internet.
but to minimize the risk, we can install our computer with anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, etc - and also we should update them periodically.

if we using windows as our operating system, then we should update it too, automatic update is recommended

Don't click on any spam emails, delete them from your email client immediately and remove them from your junk too! Very important in this day and age.

I agree with jeanneluv. There's no 100% safe when a computer connected to internet and even you are using those tools mentioned. They are only minimize the risk.

The best desktop operating system to use depends on what its intended use will be and who will be using it.. There is no specific operating system which can be called "the best".. and There are many good antivirus and internet security programs available on the market today. They each have strengths and weaknesses.. AVG is one recently topped our Movers and Shakers list of the top downloaded free antivirus programs..

Install "AVG internet security 2011" on your computer. It will give you a full protection against all virus, malware, spyware, and so on.
