Default How to Get Better Performance From Your WiFi Router

Few little tweaks could help you get better signals from your Wifi router.

    Placement of router
Place your router in open space without much interferences. More freely signal can pass between router and using device, better the performance.

    Find the non-competing Wifi channel
Routers pass data signals in channels, like radio channels. If there are other Wifi routers around, both may be using same channel competing with each other. Optimize your device to use a non-competing or less-competing channel. Read more about how to do that http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/21132...reless-signal/

    Signal Extension/Amplification Devices
If your device is far from your router it would sure help adding Wifi signal amplifier device in between. I personally use them and enjoy the benefit of it.

Good advice, I've had some problems with conflicting wifi signals in the past. I've noticed the auto channel select function on some routers doesn't seem to work properly for some reason.

A Wireless router is a device that performs the functions of a router but also includes the functions of a wireless access point and a network switch. They are commonly used to allow access to the Internet or a computer network without the need for a cabled connection. It can function in a wired LAN (local area network), a wireless only LAN (WLAN), or a mixed wired/wireless network. Thanks for sharing such good tips, this will definitely help to overcome the problems related with WiFi signals....
