Thread: How to detect if site is made in drupal?

I was looking at source code of theonion.com and i am not able to detect whether it is built on drupal cms or any other.
I have read somewhere that this site is built on Drupal cms.
But how can one found out that site is built on drupal or not?

I think drupal created extension like _com. The quickest way: append /user to the URL - if it's a Drupal site you will be able to log in. If there is a subdomain (e.g. yoursitename.com/main) and run the above mentioned test , append /user after /main (e.g site.com/main/user). If you still want to know the try your site with: http :// isthissitebuiltwithdrupal . com /

There are some plugins who detect this try ans pay for some and you will see the difference.
