    Default Why is Firefox slowing down?

    After a few hours using the Internet each day, my computer slows way down. When I check out what's going on in the task manager, sometimes Firefox is at over 1,000,000 k mem usage. What could be causing Firefox to use up so much memory over time?

    My work requires me to be logged into tons of sites and use a number of Firefox extensions. I know this can really take a toll, but is there a way to minimalize it? What I've been doing is closing Firefox completely and restarting it, but it doesn't want to save my tabs any more and doing this can sometimes derail my concentration.

    Any ideas?

    If your Firefox is slowing down and you want to speed up the you must disable the unwanted Addons and bookmarks from the browser. If still the speed of your Firefox not increased then delete the history and cache of your browser.....

    Try with the following steps for your problem,
    * Update your browser to the latest one
    * Remove unwanted Addons and bookmarks
    * Disable Firefox plugin
    * Clear cookies, cache and history
    You can check your internet speed from www.ScanMySpeed.com after performing these to see the difference in your connection speed.

    hello, So far I know firefox works good but using too much Ad-dons can hang it up or sometimes crash.
    for better practice, use few addons and make sure to update it.
    Thanks

    The same problem is with me too. But after using small tools like "Glary Utilities", "Revo Uninstaller" etc. I almost recovery my speed. Instead off this I also type the command %temp% in Run option which is in the start menu of Windows, it opens a window delete all files which are there. Then go windows folder then temp to delete the files inside there. After doing all these simple steps I recover the speed. One thing while using the tools which is given above just try to remove junk files and try to clear the caches. Thanks!
