No luck in CJ
I have 5,000 daily page views yet no more than 10 clicks according to CJ control panel. I don't know where I'm going wrong. Really frustrating.
I only do individual product promotion. Do I have to go the massive way like most other are doing? You know, rolling out a site with tons of CJ links instead of just promoting a specific product? Many of the coupon sites do this.my personal journal of web development and web hosting

I ran CJ ads for several years and did not ever get a check from them. The only affiliate company that I ever got paid from was (Grower Flowers) .

How do you promote the affiliate products? Did you incorporate the affiliate link in your content or did you simply place a banner on your website? Don't forget you can use call to action to increase the number of clicks -- this is great on affiliate programs that you can ask your visitors to click (and buy) the product. This cannot be done if you have PPC ads on your website (like adsense).

I had the same problem with CJ - put a lot of effort in, but never earnt enough to get paid! I gave up in the end and went back to Adsense instead - smal earnings, but regular income.

It could be the how you are advertising the products on your site. If the links are not all that clear or are in not such a good spot, then that will lower the CTR.

Content, content and more. You need to write from the heart and less from the mind, pre-sell your product so people would want to click to the store.

Only a small percent of affiliates make money through cj, i see a lot of websites being sold to people who think they will get rich from selling affiliate products. In reality to make any money at all, you have to start by picking your niche carefully, you should sell something people are looking for. Do keyword research, pick your domain, then optimize your meta tags, do on page seo, and build links.

No matter what type of program you want use to make money with, if you you are not getting traffic, then you will just be wasting your time. You need to get at least 500 visitors plus a day, to make money with any program.
So, the first and foremost thing is to work on getting traffic, which is dam hard to do.

When I started 4 years ago, CJ was decent... now they got greedy and they pay less. For some reason, a lot of people do not have luck with CJ.com unless you know how to properly work their system.
I would suggest getting into other CPA networks like maxbounty or paydotcom to get you started.
Then move into the advanced groups like CJ
