I think you should go with you chosse. rather you fill you can do better in this filled.

The theme of the blog should be something you're knowledgeable about as well as interested/passionate about. That way you can run it the best of your abilities. Even if you choose a popular theme that you think will get you lots of traffic etc, if you're not interested in it then it will show and your blog will lose traffic just by being a poor blog.
