2. Write quality content for your site When it comes to content, take the time write the best article you can. Don't write a bunch of rehashed garbage that's already been copied by others. Write something fresh and recent with new sources. Also, don't make the article short. Write until you've exhausted the subject.

3. Remove unnecessary links from your site Clear off the clutter, eye candy, bells and whistles and unnecessary links from each page. You want visitor's eyeballs to focus on 2 things: Your Content and Your Ads. Trimming the fat also reduces the low value places for visitors to go.

4. Display your ad units where repeat users will notice them A leaderboard at the very top fits nicely next to the logo, but forum regulars tend to skip the header and go straight to the meat of the thread.

5. Use an adlink in addition to an adblock Use an adlink in addition to an adblock, and consider placing it at the end of your page's text. If the text you've written is sufficiently focused on your keywords, the adlink should have no problem with relevancy.

test with different positioning of ads. keep the ones earn better. give it enough time to see the results though.

Thanks for the tips, most of the stuff I already knew, but everything bit of information is useful.

I also think it is important that adsense doesn't have the regular design, so not everybody identifies it as ad to fast.

The position of your ads also affects your CTR... If you can determine you blog's HOTSPOT (or the part that was easily click accidentally), for sure you'll get a much better adsense earnings.

I find that mixing the ads in with my content works the best. Also, placing ads in the left col works better than placing them in the right column.

For me ads ads at the top and bottom of a the post work the best. Sidebar not as much.

For me i think it will be better if the ad is placed in the middle of the post as people are more likely to click on the ads as they are reading the post
