A permalink is the final resting place of a piece of web content. This allows someone to link directly to a particular entry in your blog's archives instead of just to the (ever changing) front page.

yaa permalink is a URL that points to a specific blog or forum entry!!!

The unique URL of a single post. It can be use when you want to link to a post somewhere.

Perma = Permanent; Link=Link; Permanent Link.

This is the permanent link. it means those link which points to a specific blog or forum entry.

That's my understanding too.

Permanent until the blog or site dies, anyway

They can benefit you on seo, when you run a blog you can customize the structure for more search engine friendly permalinks.

Personally i don't include permalink to my blog,it not"a must "to me.

A link which placed permanently on a place without removing or replacing it anywhere, you can called it Permalink.
